Grand Cherokee
The Grand Cherokee is offered either in four wheel or two wheel drive configurations. The various trims available are the base Laredo, Overland, Limited and high performance version, SRT8.
Engine
The base model is powered by a standard 3.7 liter V6 engine that produces power up to 210 hp. The other engines available to the car are 4.7 liter V8 and 5.7 liter Hemi V8 models. The high performance version, SRT8 is equipped with 6.1 liter V8 model that produces power up to 420 hp. The optional engine to the vehicle is a 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6 version. When compared to the base Laredo, the Grand Cherokee price is high for the high performance version. The only transmission to all the engines is a standard 5-speed automatic transmission.
Safety Features
The standard safety features equipped in all the models include four wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability program, front advanced multi stage air bags and side curtain air bags.
