The 94 Grand Cherokee was offered in only four door body style, powered by a 4.0 liter V6 engine that producers power up to 190 hp at an angular speed of 4600 rpm and torque of 235 lb ft at an angular speed of 3200 rpm. The other engine offered as optional include a 5.2 liter V8 engine that can produce power up to 220 hp and it became standard from later years. The engine in the vehicle was mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission, while it also offered four-speed automatic as optional.
